Quadratics
What are quadratic Relationships?
Quadratics help us find the time, distance and height of a moving object in a curve. These are good for finding the pathway of things, for example, the pathway of a thrown ball. There are three forms of quadratics. These are vertex form, factor form and standard form.
WELCOME!!
Vertex Form: a(x-h)^2+k
The vertex form consists of axis of symmetry, optimal value, transformations, x-interxepts of zeroes and the step pattern. All of these topics will be covered
Factor Form: y=a(x-r)(x-s)
Factor form consists of zeroes or x-intercepts (r and s), axis of symmetry (x=(r+s)/2), and optimal value (sub in), all of which will be shown and demonstrated
Standard Form: y=ax^2+bx+c
The standard form consists of zeroes, axis of symmetry, optimal value, completing the square to turn to vertex form and factoring to turn to factored form.
